Yin Yoga for Energy & Flexibility

Yin Yoga is a practice of using body weight, gravity and props in poses to lengthen the fascia (connective tissue), ligaments and tendons. In this practice we sink into poses for 1-5 minutes relinquishing muscular tension and giving time to cultivate the ability to surrender. This technique can access deep patterns of restriction in the body, opening and enhancing the flow of energy and vitality.
Class ends with an extended time of relaxation to assimilate.
*The poses are very accessible to everyone, as all poses are done on the floor (no standing poses) and individual modifications are offered.

Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation (Yoga Nidra)

Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra are two relaxing practices that promote a deep sense of well being.
In Restorative Yoga we make use of props to support the body in very gentle poses that allow for deep relaxation of body and mind.
Then we will experience a long savasana using the techniques of Yoga NIdra, including guided body relaxation, breath awareness and guided visualization creating a state of conscious awareness. From this state of deep relaxation and conscious awareness comes true healing of body mind and spirit. You will leave feeling rested and restored!
